Reflection on academic journey

My academic journey has been an exciting path of learning. Recent learnings include note-taking skills, academic writing, and maintaining academic integrity. Learning the importance of note-taking skills over time helped me to develop a strong foundation, enhancing my active listening, critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills. Knowing methods of note taking I am able to organize information and present the key concept efficiently. In terms of academic writing, it started with learning features and transforming nonacademic to academic writing. Understanding the importance of academic writing helps me develop research skills and intellectual curiosity. It has effectively impacted on communicating my ideas clearly and concisely. Exploring different writing styles I am able to arrange my ideas logically, making my writing precise and impactful. Maintaining academic integrity is a very essential topic I learned from this module. Referencing source, avoiding plagiarism in academic writing, and upholding academic honesty are inevitable to become knowledgeable as a learner.

Academic integrity has proven to be indispensable not only in this particular module but also in other modules while writing assignments giving credit to others work and referencing source. Over all my journey indicates improvement in note-taking, academic writing and maintaining academic integrity. However, note-taking are not without challenges it require time to organize ideas, paying concentration and interpreting complex lectures. Academic writing lay challenge in being more formal, balancing creativity with academic rules and online sources have introduced challenges to maintain academic integrity.
