Taking classes beyond confined walls

As everyone knows, learning Dzongkha is a must since it is Bhutan's national language and the primary means of communication. This year, I learned Dzongkha, which will definitely help me when I start working as a teacher. During this period, our DFC tutor, Sonam Gyeltsen, took us outside the classroom, and it was really cool to learn in a new setting. We looked at the outdoors and practical applications. We also heard about the difficulties he encountered on his educational path in this inspiring life story. It enhanced the excitement and engagement of learning.

Samtse tsechu

  Bhutan is known for its unique culture and tradition to others among which the tsechu festival is one. It was amazing to attend the tsechu in Samtse for three days. I can only imagine how enchanting it was to witness the mesmerizing mask dances and beautiful ladies dancing on the ground. And receiving blessings from the lama has added such a spiritual touch to my experience. Interacting with different people and seeing everyone come together created a sense of unity and joy among Bhutanese people.
